Mato Grosso Governor admitted to hospital with pneumonia

Mato Grosso Governor Mauro Mendes was admitted to the Sírio-Libanês Hospital in São Paulo on Saturday, diagnosed with pneumonia. Mr. Mendes was already in the São Paulo capital for an office meeting when he first showed symptoms. He has been cleared from Covid-19 suspicion after undergoing a “battery of exams.”

The Mato Grosso Governor, 56, had already previously tested positive for Covid-19 in early June and had successfully recovered from. He announced on his Instagram page that he is feeling well and continuing to carry out his duties remotely. No further information has been made available.
