Economy Minister tests negative for Covid-19 again

The Economy Ministry reported that Minister Paulo Guedes has tested negative for Covid-19 for a second time, after making close contact with several cabinet members who have been ill, including President Jair Bolsonaro

According to the ministry, two tests were performed in the space of a week to ensure that the minister is not infected, but there is no further information on his health. Minister Guedes is seen by investors as a pivotal figure in the cabinet and a potential absence due to quarantine could stir volatility in markets.
