Bolsonaro expels supporter who complained about Covid-19 deaths, ‘she’s talking rubbish’

During one of his daily conversations with supporters and the press outside of his official residence this morning, President Jair Bolsonaro reacted angrily to the comments of one of his voters, who brought up the almost 38,000 people who have died of Covid-19 in Brazil.

The individual in question was YouTuber Cris Bernat, who claimed to have campaigned and voted for Mr. Bolsonaro. “We have 38,000 deaths due to Covid-19. That’s 38,000 families dying at this very moment,” she said. “I feel that you have betrayed the population.”

Irritated, President Bolsonaro abandoned the conversation and requested that Ms. Bernat be expelled from the area reserved for his supporters. “She’s talking rubbish,” Mr. Bolsonaro said.
