Brazil’s National Justice Council, the judicial system’s watchdog, has authorized notary offices to officiate divorce proceedings over video-conferences. Proceedings related to properties — including buying, selling, and donating — have also been made online. The new bureaucratic system was implemented in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic and will be in place for six months.
