Despite criticism of the World Health Organization, Brazil will help in the global fight against Covid-19. According to acting Health Minister General Eduardo Pazuello, the country will contribute to international initiatives, such as the Solidarity Trial and Act Accelerator.

Mr. Pazuello also signaled that Brazil will change its health protocols to combat the pandemic. This affirmation can be understood as a green light for the use of chloroquine in Covid-19 treatment. According to Gen. Pazuello, this change will occur “based on evidence and successful experiences in the country and the most affected places.”
