Bolsonaro denounced to OAS for Covid-19 handling

On Friday, the center-left Democratic Labor Party filed a petition before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), an independent body of the Organization of American States (OAS), requesting the Brazilian government compensate the families of the Covid-19 victims.

The document calls for the issuing of precautionary measures and argues that the “Federative Republic of Brazil is obliged to pay reparations to the families of those who died as the result of the lack of medical care and for human rights violations, including compensations for material and moral damage.”
