Brazil’s Covid-19 cases surpassed 105,000 on Monday, while the official death toll reached 7,288. Over the past 24 hours, Brazil recorded a further 4,075 infections and 263 deaths. On Sunday, Brazil became only the ninth country in the world to register over 100,000 Covid-19 cases.

On Thursday — the last business day in Brazil due to the Workers’ Day holiday on Friday — more than 7,200 new cases were recorded.
