Brazil’s right-wing president is placing the burden of tackling Covid-19 on the country’s state administrations in the hope that he will benefit, he said. “If the (locally imposed) measures work and the community can see some normality returning he will say ‘Look: I told you it was nothing’,” said Mr. Ribeiro.
