Agribusiness: Extended deadlines for vaccine registration

Farmers unable to turn in foot-and-mouth disease vaccine registration forms online will have more time to present the documents to sanitary authorities. Each property must discuss new deadlines directly with local authorities, says the Agriculture Ministry.

Despite allowing new delivery dates, the Agriculture Ministry stresses that cattle vaccination must go on as normal. “Vaccine producers and resellers should make phone and/or online purchases available,” explains the ministry.

The Agriculture Ministry also suggests that vaccine deliveries should preferably occur directly on the buyer’s property, to reduce the risks of contamination along the chain.
