Brazil’s Mines and Energy Minister Bento Albuquerque told CNN Brasil on Wednesday the ongoing succession drama regarding new leadership for oil and gas giant Petrobras has not finished. Mr. Albuquerque met with President Jair Bolsonaro on Tuesday to discuss the options for the state-controlled company.

Three men turned down offers for the positions of chairman of the board and chief executive officer. The company is due to hold a shareholders’ meeting within a week. “We are analyzing people with the right profile to take over the company and the board, considering the current situation at the national and international level,” Mr. Albuquerque said.

The name of De-bureaucratization Secretary Caio Paes de Andrade has appeared as a strong candidate for the CEO position. However, Vice President Hamilton Mourão on Wednesday said he “lacks experience” to lead Petrobras.
