In a move to align itself with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the São Paulo stock market will change its trading hours as of March 14. The closing bell will come at 5 pm local time instead of the current 6 pm. After-market sessions will come between 5:30 and 6 pm.

The São Paulo stock market already syncs up with New York, and will make the change due to the imminent start of daylight saving time in the U.S.

Brazil’s Ibovespa stocks index has been among the best performers early in 2022, but rocky times may be on the horizon, as we explained last week.
