Chile recorded 753 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, the lowest figures for a single day since April 2020, one month after the pandemic was declared by the World Health Organization.

The achievement comes with 79 percent of the country’s adult population twice vaccinated, the second-highest rate in Latin America, behind Uruguay. As one of the continent’s positive vaccine outliers, Chile is already vaccinating under 18s.
