A glitch in the servers of São Paulo’s B3 stock exchange this morning disrupted trading for roughly 25 minutes. A B3 representative told The Brazilian Report the bug had been fixed by 10:50 am, almost one hour after the opening bell. After that, operations resumed as normal.
B3 did not provide details on which assets were most impacted. Per local reports, however, pre-market trading was extended for stocks of retailers Pão de Açúcar and Grupo Mateus, as well as investment bank BTG Pactual, car rental company Localiza, and cosmetics giant Natura. Reportedly these stocks were stored on the datacenter affected by the IT hiccup.
