Argentina registers deadliest day of the pandemic so far

Argentina recorded on Thursday 537 new coronavirus-related deaths, a daily record for the country. The Health Ministry also recorded 27,216 new infections.

Argentina has now registered a total of 60,620 deaths and 2.9 million cases. Buenos Aires province, home to 39 percent of the national population, is the worst-hit region in the country, with 12,949 confirmed cases yesterday alone.
