Bolivia confirms first case of British Covid-19 variant

Health authorities in Bolivia identified infections from the British coronavirus variant within its territory for the first time. Meanwhile, the presence of the P.1 variant — commonly known as the “Brazilian variant” — remains “under investigation.” In March, La Paz partially closed borders with Brazil and sent coronavirus samples to be analyzed in foreign labs.
