Rio starts administering second dose of coronavirus vaccine

Rio de Janeiro authorities announced on Tuesday that the state is beginning to roll out second doses of coronavirus vaccines to patients in 92 municipalities. Roughly 244,000 doses will be administered to respect manufacturers’ recommendations of not surpassing 21 days after the first jab.

Meanwhile, the city of Rio is expanding the vaccination of senior citizens. The plan to begin inoculation of over 80s this month, but after receiving nearly 135,000 new doses over 75s will also be included.
