São Paulo Governor João Doria announced the state has negotiated with utilities Sabesp (water) and companies Comgás, GasBrasiliano, and Naturgy (gas) to continue providing services to clients who haven’t paid their bills until the end of July, extending measures announced in March.

At the time, the governor said suspending water bills for 90 days would benefit 500,000 low-income families in the state. On Twitter, Governor Doria also urged electricity regulator Aneel to approve the extension of suspensions on the interruption of service for people in the same situation, also in place since March.
