In addition to suspending Brasília Governor Ibaneis Rocha for 90 days, Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes adopted a series of measures against the anti-democratic riots in Brasília that took place on Sunday.

To prevent new waves of far-right radicals reaching the heart of Brazilian political power, the justice determined that buses and trucks transporting demonstrators are prohibited from entering the Federal District until January 31, when a federal intervention in the capital’s security apparatus is set to expire.

In addition, Justice Moraes asked for the seizure of buses identified by the Federal Police that transported coup-mongers over the last few days.

Justice Moraes also ordered Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter to block at least 18 profiles linked to extremists involved in Sunday’s riots.
